AACF Scholarships

Through its scholarship funds, the Autauga Area Community Foundation assists area students attain their academic goals by offsetting their postsecondary educational expenses.  Though the forms are available year-round, the annual application deadline is April 1.

HIGH SCHOOL/COLLEGE TRANSCRIPT SUBMISSIONS:  WE WILL ONLY ACCEPT TRANSCRIPTS THAT ARE SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY (No faxed or hard copies will be accepted). High school and college counselors can click here to submit student transcripts.  You will need to establish an account using your email address.  Once you have an account, you will be taken to a listing of all of our scholarship programs and links to submit transcripts or references (near the bottom of the listing).  Click on the Transcript Submission Process for High School/College Counselors link, enter the student’s name, and upload the file of the student’s transcript.  Should you not have an electronic or scanned copy of the student’s transcript, click on the “Fax to File” option in the left-hand menu and follow the instructions.  This will give you the opportunity to fax the transcript to an 800 number, where an electronic version will be created for you. 

REFERENCE LETTERS:  WE WILL ONLY ACCEPT REFERENCE LETTERS THAT ARE SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY (No faxed or hard copies will be accepted). Summary of the programs available:

Autauga County

The following program is available to graduating seniors of any public or private Autauga County high school.

  • Paul Easterling Dixie Youth Scholarship – Established in memory of Paul Easterling, monies are available to graduates of any public or private Autauga County high school who have ever participated in Dixie Youth League baseball. Intended to recognize students who exemplify good sportsmanship on and off the sports field, students must: (1) provide an official school transcript reflecting a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or a minimum ACT score of 20; (2) provide two letters of reference; and (3) write an essay of 500 words or less on the importance of sportsmanship in athletics.   • Santee Family Fund Scholarship-Assist with post secondary education expenses for current or former residents of AL Sheriff's Boys & Girls Youth Ranches (or similarly situated). Applicant must be sponsored by a staff person and must be under the age of 25. Include: T, E. Apply

Available to seniors statewide:

  • ASE Credit Union Scholarship -Applicant must be member of ASE Credit Union or parent or guardian must have established account. Two scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded annually. Applicant must have a minimum GPA 3.0. Include: T, R, E. Apply

 

Scholarship Applications Are Now Online!

AACF scholarships are being processed online. The applications are available December 1, 2013, and the deadline for submitting an application is April 1, 2014.

To Claim Your Award

When you start school in the fall, please have the business office of the college or university contact us, providing written proof of your full-time enrollment (e.g., official schedule or letter verifying enrollment status). They can send this letter by whatever means is most convenient.

  • Emails can be sent to: lynne.broach@cacfinfo.org
  • Faxes can be sent to (334) 263-6225.
  • (These avenues are to be used only for the submission of proof of enrollment.  Scholarship reference letters must be submitted ONLINE during application process.)

Once we receive official confirmation of enrollment status, we will issue a check to the institution to be applied toward your expenses.  Please keep in mind that the Foundation is unable to issue any scholarship awards without written proof of enrollment
