Since 1988, CACF has been awarding grants and scholarships in the Central Alabama region. Grants are awarded to support a wide range of charitable activities- education, health and human resources, cultural arts, preservation and beautification. Over $13 million has been distributed to hundreds of local organizations to seed new programs and expand successful ones.

CACF also offers scholarship help for high school graduates interested in continuing their educations. Scholarships are available to students in Montgomery, Elmore and Lowndes counties. Over $50,000 in scholarships is awarded each year. Scholarship applications may be down loaded here. Application deadline is April 1st.

The Community Foundation offers a variety of grants to support nonprofit organizations. These include:

• Grants to support new or expanding projects and programs
• Matching grant opportunities to help build endowment funds for non-profit agencies
• Grants to help organizations tackle management issues
